A Child’s Innocence "When we were young”

You know how we are when we were young? everything goes for us as we wanted it (well, not really everything). But you know, we had our time of indulgence throughout our childhood. We had our toys, friends and everything. Some might say they didn’t enjoy a child’s experience in his/her time. Well, that is true, some of us had their bad experiences during their innocence. Some of us have received a lot of punishments coming from our parents. Some might say that it wasn’t for good. It all depends on how a child sees the world. I have my experiences when I was young, I have been scolded a lot, smacked a lot (Not to the extent of kneeling down on the floor with rock salt or lets say, “munggo seeds”). But never was I deprived from what I needed during that time. Although yes, sometimes, things doesn’t go our way… We had to learn.

Cute Drawing

You know, I’m really fond of drafts or pencil drawings, well, whatever the name is. It’s a nice thing to see once in a while. A simple yet, beautifully drawn sequence of images shown below.

Jared Leto??

Hmm, I really like this one, at first glance, you’ll say it’s jared leto! but think again… It’s not!!

Girl Jared Leto

Pee?

Another one random post XD.

Safety First

I really like this photo, I’ve been seeing a copy of this one on a pizza restaurant. What I saw was a copy, it had artists (famous ones) sitting on the same metal bar with the same kind of ambience. I’m glad I saw the original picture ^_^… It’s an epic thing!

Safety First

FTW!

This photo is an epic win ^_^.

December!!

Still sleepy dammit XD, well anyway, I just woke up. Been sleeping since around 5-6 up to 10:45PM XD. Yeah, trying to catch up to these weekend breaks, had to push myself to sleep. I still have the night to rest for sunday ^_^, then after that, back to work XD.

Oh Crap!!

The boot sector of my HDDs are fucking up!! Argh… Can’t use my computer right now!! wth!! Oh well, good thing it’s a windows 7 XD. Yeah, it’s much more easier and convenient to fix unlike with windows XP. Although I really liked windows XP… But yeah, time flies by, we must move on XD.

What a day

Hehe, as it is XD. Well anyway, I just got home from work, had a few bad calls, I guess that’s a given. So yeah, we’re now done with our nesting period!! yey!! yes, I’m now on “Fully Operational status” on the production floor ^_^.

Monday, November 15, 2010

Well well

What’s up? now I’ve had time to write something up again, hehe. What’s really been up? hmm, a lot of things! Like, yeah, I now have a job!! though not as you thought it is. I’m currently working at 24/7 customer ^_^.

Ola

Well, this should be another hell of a day XD. Just recently, I was able to listen to “Ecstacy of Saint Theresa”. Surprisingly, it caught my attention, the song “Local Distortion” reminds me of bjork!! damn it. Anyway, listen to it.

Local Distortion–Ecstacy of Saint Theresa

I should better go and fix my things, I hope there’ll be no traffic today (damn traffic yesterday, I went out at 5pm – I came in to work 7:10pm, that’s 10 mins late! – my travel time is usually 15-20mins!).

So Yeah, Ber!

It’s been a while again since I last posted here on my blog.

Well, what’s been going around?

A lot of things have been lately.

Yeah…

I’ve been doing my job applications for a TSR position and somehow, I was able to catch 2 definite proposals among the 4 companies I’ve applied at. Well yeah, it makes me very happy (patting myself at the back XD). So the first one was a failure, what can you expect? it was my first time trying to apply for a job and being interviewed for it ^_^. I’m very thankful that I’ve came across Temps & Staffers (Thanks to my close buddy ^^), I’ve learned alot from that place (Thanks, Sir Rome ^^).

It’s been a while

So, it’s been a while since I wrote an entry to my blog T_T. What’s been up? a lot of things happened these past weeks. Tagaytay, tagaytay, baguio, drinks up! eat out! break ups and make ups, so yeah, all thanks to my friend who came back here in the philippines ^^. Though he’s already back in canada, the spirit is still there? haha, guess I’m missing baguio very much.

First Tagaytay trip of the month

That’s our first tagaytay trip. That was around 10 PM, so yeah, It’s a passive picture (I really like these kind of shots, it’s simple yet very pleasing ^^.). Guess where am I? nevermind, haha. Anyway, we had a few drinks, some snacks, talks and yeah, gags (like having to step into a dung twice, hahaha) ^^.

My Throat is killing me!!

Yeah, this is getting very annoying. I was eating my lunch then somehow, a piece of food lodged in my throat. And now, I still have that feeling that I have something clinging at my throat (damn Annoying!!).

I’ve been coughing up lately because of this. Argh!! Clearing my throat and coughs up!! I hope that the thing that is stuck at my throat disappears.

Yeah, I’ve drank a lot of water, poked my throat, brushed and gargled. I’ve also tried swallowing a large amount of food (thinking that maybe, it will go down along). But still, it doesn’t!! c’mon!!

This is really pissing me off, I almost scratched the hell out of my throat because it’s really annoying T_T.

A mid windy day

So yeah, I’m glad today’s weather is not annoying. The atmosphere is cold like morning wind, yeah.

A lot of things happened these past days, aside from having to clean the bathroom and the kitchen floor twice for two days, it was pretty regular.

Yeah, that frickin’ bathroom again, this time, the electrically operated pump wasn’t able to reroute the water overflowing from the bathroom drainage. Yes, the water flowed over the bathroom down to the floors going to the kitchen (c’mon!), it was a rough one!! It’s up to your imagination of what comes out if the water drainage of the bathroom is flowing out because of the heavy rain (you with me?). At first, the water pump was sufficient. The rain continued, and that frickin’ pump bugs up!! the pump’s cord that supplies the electricity is weak, I have to move it around to get it to start. After it starts, the water filter (the metal mesh over the mouth) gets stuck with different particles which I have to brush off for it to work normally. After clearing those, another problem comes down, I have to restart the pump alot of times (which I’m not really sure why, though I think it has this regulator chip which prevents the pump from continuously working by doing a passive pump [pulling force of water flowing out]).

So yeah, I was not able to save the water from flowing over the bathroom floor. I gave up, I just waited for the rain to stop and the water to drain down again. I ended up removing the water on the floor of the house until it was dry T_T.

So anyway, soon after that, my friend came (the birthday boy). He asked me to tag along with him to buy some food to go along with the drinks ^^. I brought the sake and 1 machang from the ref.

It was a rough day. Good thing the celebration went on (my exhaustion was removed ^^). Ohh, so the sake wasn’t the old aging type, it didn’t have this yellow color and that sweet taste, it was just a regular one (I guess?). Still, it was good ^^. I had to come home around 1am, since I can’t keep up drinking too much XD.

So there, the next day came. And the same situation happened again, although less severe and without the drinking party at the end XD.

Video Tool – XVID4PSP

If you’re like me who frequently watches animes and and really loves to encode animes/movies/videos for my gadgets, you might want to try this.

XVID4PSP created by winnydows is a multi-purpose video conversion tool (blah blah blah), so yeah, you might say it’s the same as with the others.

So anyway, what’s so special about this converter? on my case, this one helps me spare off additional work of converting anime movies/series (with subtitles on MKV container formats) without having to demux (extract) the subtitle files from the stream (meaning, most HD/HQ/H.264 formats are soft-subbed = the subtitle has it’s own stream within the container [mkv, mp4, etc etc] unlike before, it was hardsubbed [directly encoded to the video stream]). Yeah, so if you have your h.264/HD/HQ anime series to convert and you want it with subtitles with the same style and transition effects (like OP ED karaoke subs), this is the easiest thing that you need ^^. Aside from that, as with most video conversion tools, it has pre-defined configs for specific playing (iPod, PSP, cellphones, etc etc). Although older releases of version 5 didn’t have the ability to make your own custom settings (with aspect ratio, frame rates, etc etc), still, it’s a very useful tool (you can have defined settings only with the video encoding settings).

Blindfold

Is the band I’m listening to right now. Anyway, I’ll post em later.

So today I was able to buy those “Machangs” that’s suppose to suppress my brother’s anger towards me. Bought three of em to be exact (2 pork, 1 chicken), placed it on the ref until my brother discovers it ^^.

Good thing I had it reserved before I went to the store XD, yeah, it’s a frequently bought delicacy from Eng Bi Tin.

One laptop has been claimed lately, one more to go ^^.

Please read more ^^

Another hot day

So yeah, the air starts getting hotter again. I just had a bath and I’m already about to sweat, c’mon!

So today, I need to buy a “Machang” to replace the one that disappeared from the ref (I was the one who ate it actually XD).

Asobi Seksu – Hush (2009)

Yata! the heat has become more tolerable XD. So now, Asobi Seksu, an Indie dream pop/shoegaze band. Shoegaze influenced with the use of variety of effects to create the old alternative rock feel ^^.

If you understand japanese then you’ll be smirking just by reading the name of the band. Asobi = for fun/play/to enjoy ; Seksu = sex. So it’s “Sex for fun” when translated XD. enough with the names, so yeah, the vocalist is a female (japanese), “Yuki Chikudate”.

Each album has a different approach, this release has a more “blissful (Dream Pop)” feel. Still, their songs are really enjoyable ^^.

There are a lot of songs to listen at, one of my favorites is “Sing Tomorrow’s Praise”. I wonder why the song isn’t even listed at the top 20 (last.fm - asobi seksu, most listeners). I really like this song, her voice in this song is presented with elegance and strength (I can hear her voice with detail ^^).

So here, “Sing Tomorrow’s Praise

Link Here.

This is from the album “Citrus”

School of Seven Bells – Windstorm

I’m all done now with the thesis (yey!!). So now, School of Seven Bells’ 2010 Single “Windstorm”.

School of Seven Bells - Windstorm

Their songs really are something, It gets better along new releases XD.

Windstorm

Here’s the link “Windstorm

Ahh, it’s frickin’ hot again!! But the thing is, I’m done with our thesis!! Yeah!!

What is contemporary?

I really don’t understand what it means, still haven’t looked it up over the net. Anyway, like contemporary dance, etc etc. The “contemporary” category. Can’t really figure out  what it means basing from contemporary dances that I’ve watched (SYTYCD anyone?). Well, is the “contemporary” dance category the same with “Contemporary” itself? what I’ve noticed is that it’s somewhat freeform. (but what exactly are the aspects that makes it contemporary?) I really don’t want to read the meaning from the dictionary, I want to base my conclusion to the things I observe.

Ok, now that the thesis is already done (still haven’t passed it yet. I’ve received it earlier than the foretold date of the finished book bind), I wonder what should I do next? still haven’t started answering the test book from my minor subject T_T rough times… I’m still not in the mood to finish it XD Anyway, remembering fallout 2!!

Currently listening to Louis Armstrong’s “A kiss to build a dream on” ^^. One epic classical song for me! and the voice! c’mon, the voice!

Along with The Inkspots’ “I don’t want to set the world on fire”!! I didn’t expect that the singers were black (not that I’m against it. Meh, I don’t like racism), it’s just that, when I listen to the singer, I imagine how it looks. For me, it was somewhat a white – 40’s age radio DJ who somehow lost his job being a newspaper editor and as a weatherman XD.

Some people don’t have the appreciation for songs likes this. But for me, this is epic!! this is something not to be forgotten!! so, anyway, those who have played Fallout 2-3 will know why I’m playing these 2 songs.

My music this time around were all about epicness!! Another one which I cannot skip is Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody”. You really have got to love this song ^^

Again, I wonder, will my appreciation over these music be the same if I had not heard these along movies or certain events from the past? But yeah, I can say that certain events/situations/conditions that is (are) attached along really affects how we interpret/appreciate the things around. Still, I would really (really!) want to try and compare it myself. Too bad, there’s never going to be “me” hearing the same songs under two different conditions (which is me, hearing it from a movie. And me, hearing it without any other stimulus). Even if it is possible, there’s got to be someone monitoring me for a non-biased result XD. What if I erased my mind? I’m not sure about that, but I still really think that the result will be biased even if one’s mind is erased.

Well, anyway. too many questions right? that’s me, that’s how I am. Even though my mind pops up these questions, I still, somehow, find the “possible” (probable?) answers.

That is that. Life is a work of art, enjoy it ^^.

BGM - Karin

Do you somehow like listening to BGMs? well, I do. In fact, it’s something I’m always looking forward listening to. While watching a movie, you’ll hear this very nice music playing along the scene, having the right expression and rhythm makes it even more better ^^. Here’s something I really liked for a long time ^^.

The title is “Soshite 2 nin wa…” from the anime Karin. This is one of my favorite BGMs coming from different movies and animes. The musical piece tells it’s story. It’s like a guy looking over a huge wall trying to figure out what he will do to overcome it, just to see what’s on the other side. The climax is when the guy has reached the top and climbs back down to the other side to receive his reward XD.

You can only imagine while you listen to the song ^^, it’s a very lovely piece.

I wonder if my interpretation will be the same if I haven’t watched the scene where it was used. What do you think? I wonder if that changes our views. But certainly, the musical piece has it’s story to tell.

i7 Cora

Untitled

Haha, it’s not that funny although having to see snips of these gag logos  makes me smile ^^. I saw this while watching “To Aru Kagaku no Railgun” (episode 9 or 10?). I wonder what that BST means? (Bullshit? British School of tokyo? Binary Source Tree? / found the last 2 from google). So anyway, it’s just a nonsense post, but still, I’m forcing myself to publish it for my own sake XD.

What did you do today? I’m thankful there’s XDCC! for me, this is one of my last resort for picking up anime which is already dead among torrents. Yeah, I’m grateful for that, I can still collect 1080p encodes of THORA!! As I am one of the people who don’t have access to DVD/BD animes, this saves me (though I will surely buy them off if it was available around). So why “Yamada”? well, Yamada is the family name of my biological father (which whom, I don’t even know) that had something to do with my Biological mother. To summarize, I’m an adopted child ^^. Don’t worry, I’m proud and thankful for being one ^^ yeah, that’s who I am. Too bad, I’ve only stayed in Japan for about a year after I was born T_T.

Anyway, speaking of Japan, my friend’s birthday is just a few days ahead. So, to celebrate, I’ll be bringing the aged sake (roughly around 20+ years old) along ^^. I just hope that the Sake isn’t spoiled XD.

Just lately, I was called for without a proper reason. Only to find out that there’s a dead rat (small one) behind the utensils. I was handed a plastic bag, I said “what’s this”, and my sister said “just wait”. Then, she told me “look behind container”, I was like “Huh?”, and there it was, a squished rat. Blood splat out of it’s mouth XD (poor guy), lying dead in the corner of the kitchen tiles. So, yeah, another hopeless situation has been saved XD. It’s not really a bother to me, that’s just how some girls are.

Glad that the thesis is already on the last phase XD just need 2 days before I can pickup and pass the book bound (bookbinded?) thesis papers to my dean (yey!!). Though, I still have my minor subject to finish T_T.

Rough times, rough times.

Now even more!! Having a mosquito in my room is very frustrating!!!!

Good Riddance T_T.

School Of Seven Bells – Alpinisms

Had a nice dinner at some place (an advanced celebration for the upcoming father’s day, and no, it’s not for me XD). Well, here to share a band which I’ve been listening to lately. School Of Seven Bells a dream pop/shoegaze band which amazingly has 2 identical female members (one plays the bass, one on the keyboard, both sings ^^) and a guy. “Dream Pop” as their music is described which provides an ethereal, dreamy atmosphere. The vocals are to be noted, reminds me of a specific jazz singer (I forgot the name). The band also gives off a “tribal” feel in some of the songs.

School Of Seven Bells - Alpinisms
I really don’t have that much words to put up to describe the sounds XD. Songs that I often listen to are: "Iamundernodisguise”, “Half Asleep”, “Face To Face On High Places”, “Connjur”, “Prince of Peace”, “My Cabal”. Each track is pleasant, distinct and euphoric. Close your eyes while listening ^^.

Here’s “Half Asleep”

Iamundernodisguise

School is about to start again and my nieces aren’t really at their best shape. They’ve been sleeping late and I’m worried. It’s for sure they’ll have a hard time waking up early T_T. I even controlled the internet access over the computer.

The Fauns – ST

Ok, now I’m finished with the laundry. I was just listening to “The Fauns” while I was hanging my shirts. Haven’t heard much of their music from their Self titled album of 2009, so I played their album while I was doing my thing.

The Fauns
So, The Fauns a Dream Pop/Shoegaze band which comprises a female vocalist. I have yet to hear their songs from earlier albums. The Fauns is more on the “Dreamy” approach (voice effects and synths?), yet you could still hear the simple styled shoegaze approach. One would be “The Sun Is Cruising” track (which is also my best pick, then “Lovestruck”). In shoegazeralive4 (in which where I got the album) this is classified under Shoegaze new generation (But, I’m not into that much scrutiny).

I’ll be probably playing a few minutes of Alien Breed: Impact, then off to sleep XD.

Here’s the track “The Sun Is Cruising

Lovestruck

I write on my blog for the purpose of exercising my english proficiency since I’m pretty much done with schooling. So please do understand. Thank You ^^.

Adidas + Samsung = iPod Classic

Ok, enough with the irrelevant titles.
so…
what now?

I need money!!, dammit, I really can’t make use of my degree right now (a recent graduate of a nursing degree, well not really, there’s still a minor subject I need to comply to get my TOR T_T). Anyway, so, right now, I am currently doing my laundry (still spinning for 10 minutes more) so much for my 2 weeks without doing the laundry, yeah, it has already piled up. I’m wondering what job should I apply for. I’ll probably go with what’s currently in demand right now and that should be a call center agent.

So there goes for my thought, I’m currently looking at the cockroach which I just smashed enough to make it dizzy, sprayed some insect killer (something like that) and the cockroach is still jerking. I wonder why are we scared over these insects? yeah they look creepy, but why do we react to such point? such small things could never do such harm over us and yet why.

Oh, that reminds me, I am not afraid of spiders!! yeah, I don’t why and how it happened, it just did. I used to catch spiders you know, and I was never afraid of it, even If I got bitten by one, it was nothing. I even used to catch the medium ones before, I use my bare hands to snatch them. But, I don’t know why I got suddenly scared of spiders. I had no trauma or an experience that will lead me to be being scared over spiders. I freak out when I see an 1 1/2 inch size and even much more with the big ones XD. I certainly had some bad instances , just like when I was about to take a bath then suddenly, a mature big spider just fell off the ceiling on to the bathroom sink (I didn’t notice that it was on the ceiling and the sink was just on my side!!), c’mon! what If it fell of on top of my head? jeez! I’m not scared of seeing one in TV, I’m even fascinated by it. But really, when I see one in front of me, dammit! I freak out!

Gotta get back to my laundry…

btw,

Schoolin’ – Everything Everything

Highly anticipated British Alternative Indie Pop band (one of the best bands I’ve hard this 2010) to release an upcoming album which is set to be on August.

 Everything Everything

This band have already released a couple singles years ago (My keys Your boyfriend, Suffragette Suffragette, Photoshop Handsome). One of their latest singles is “Schoolin’”, I should say is one hell of a  groovy music (no, it’s not disco). You can find freebies on their myspace page, just search it through google, everything everything band.

I really hope this band releases their album internationally, I really like to buy one of their debut album XD.

You could also try to listen to their other singles, coz I love all of their singles ^^.

anyway, enjoy ^^.

Here Comes The Blackout – Stornoway

Here’s a great band. Stornoway, a British Indie Pop/Folk group, which comprises wide variety of rhythms in every track.

Stornoway - Beachcomber's Windowsill

They had their Debut album this year named “Beachcomber’s Windowsill” (don’t know what that means), kind of an odd name for an album, nevertheless, every track has a new approach. Among all of the tracks, “Here Comes The Blackout” is my best pick. The group is perfect on this song, it’s the most distinct among the others and yeah, the British accent is perfect for it ^^.

Aside from the “Here Comes The Blackout”, every track is unique and refreshing. “Zorbing”, “I Saw You Blink”, “Watching Birds”, “On The Rocks” are the tracks I mostly listen to. I wonder what will their next album sounds like? anyway, try it out ^^.

Here Comes The Blackout

My Body Clock is altered!!

That’s why I’m currently downloading a couple of anime series that I might forget soon. This time, one of the series that I’ve watched and enjoyed a year or 2 ago. One of them is Tetsuwan Birdy Decode, the hippie? sci-fi action girl (somehow, that’s how I remember it. Reminds me of Cowboy bebop and another anime). Also To-aru Majutsu no Index’s side story = Railgun ^^. Suzumiya Haruhi’s Disappearance (Movie). Lastly, Kurokami the animation.

Yes!! and I’m feeling sleepy. Well, if you’re interested on knowing what these anime are all about, go to Anidb.net and just search for the titles to see their details and such. That’s it.

Games - Alien Breed: Impact

I’m not used to playing PC games that much anymore, but here’s something that I can recommend. So I’m off to simpler games much more like this.

Alien Breed: Impact

Alien Breed: Impact, released by Team17 (creators of the much favored worms ^^) is a fiction arcade shooter styled gameplay (I’ve been playing these type of games which all of them are played on Aerial view). This can be played co-op, single player (story mode and quick play). It also has achievement statistics in which you can track your play throughout the game. Nice graphics running under an engine which I forgot, but anyway, you don’t really need to know that right?

Nothing much to put in…

Whoooo!! still hot today, the weather is becoming a bit annoying, isn’t it suppose to be the rainy season? well anyway, glad that the approval signatures coming from the panelists were already done, now on to printing and passing the thesis (yey!!).

My room is again building up its buddies, you know,  those annoyingly very small things that bulks up everywhere mostly in corners? I just cleaned my room a few days ago, haa~~~. There’s not really much to do right now (quite tired to move for now), pet forest is still on maintenance (yeah, PlayOMG’s pet forest XD). Currently now listening to Paramore’s “Brick by Boring Brick”, not really a fan of Paramore, but since I’ve heard their acoustic piece (only exception), I started listening to one of their albums, yeah. Still am not that hyped over them, but I like their song Brick by Boring Brick. That reminds me, my iPod classic now has faulty sectors (still not in the mood to backup my music T_T), I really shouldn’t have it removed from the silicone slip…

30 minutes more before the server goes back up (^_^).

Freerapid downloader hasn’t been updated that much recently (still no mediafire plugin update). If only Freerapid or JDownloader has the flagging feature over download links (you know, flag as downloaded), it will be great. Yet, I can’t switch to Jdownloader, my links are all in freerapid and I’m already used with freerapid’s interface.
Anyway, for those  of you who doesn’t know what freerapid downloader or jdownloader is, well yes, it’s a downloader, but not just any downloader. These two apps support downloading of files coming from hosting sites such as mediafire, megaupload, rapidshare, fileserve, (youtube also) etc etc etc. Both has clipboard monitoring feature, in which one just have to copy a link and a window will appear if you would like to add this link and download it. The plugins are coming from different users who works with the application. So far, Jdownloader has better updates over freerapid. Well Jdownloader has a better UI, but I still like freerapid T_T.

Philips SHE9800 Advanced Acoustics

What can I say about Philips… Most of my Earphones came from Philips, roughly 8-12 pairs of it, lasted for about 3 months maximum each XD. I was satisfied with Philips since it was the easy one to get around, and yeah, I’ve tried different models coming from Philips.

My SHE7750 was a strong one. The wiring looks frail, but it was tough enough to survive some severe stretching. Yeah, one time, my left earphone got stuck up on a metal slider of my computer table while I was trying to stand up. It really had a nasty pulling, yet it still works ^^. I should say, other older earphones of mine wouldn’t survive through something like that. One thing more, the SHE7750 has a detachable cord, so that gives off longer usage (yey! ^^). Although now, the 3.5mm jack of the detachable cord has now failed, so I’m off with a shorter length, but I’m still glad that I can use it ^^.

Panasonic CF-29

I got a hold of a great laptop which I didn’t knew much about since.

A friend of mine asked me if I can do some overhauls on his laptop, thus, I came to pick up this unknowingly heavy laptop which I should say is REALLY heavy. I didn’t bother much to look what’s inside after I picked up the package, until I got home and started opening the bag and I saw this thick, heavy looking thing inside.
